Privacy Policy

Wilfried Schmidt Maschinenbau takes protecting your personal data seriously according to the rules of data protection laws. Our website may be used without entering personal information.  If personal data are collected, this only occurs – to the extent possible – with the prior consent of the user of the website. In no case will the data be transferred to third parties.
We would like to expressly point out that the transmission of data via the Internet (e.g., by e-mail) can offer security vulnerabilities. It is therefore impossible to safeguard the data completely against access by third parties.

Server-Log-Files

Our hoster automatically collects and stores log files in his server, which your browser transferred to him. These are:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system
  • Referrer URL (previously visited)
  • Host name of accessing computer (IP address)
  • Time of server request

These data are not assignable for the hosting to specific individuals. A compilation of these data with other data sources is not made, the data will be deleted after statistical analysis.

SSL-Encryption

We use industry standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to protect the confidentiality of your personal information, like your enquiries to us as site operator. You can recognise an encrypted connection to the server from the „https://“ and the lock in the address field of your browser.

Cookies

Our website makes use of so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that your internet browser downloads and stores on your computer.  They are used to improve our website and services. In all cases these are so-called “session cookies” that are deleted once you leave our website.

You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting the settings on your browser software accordingly.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our company’s newsletter, the data in the respective input mask will be transmitted to the person responsible for processing. Registration for our newsletter takes place using a so-called double opt-in procedure. i.e. After registering, you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can log in with someone else’s email address. When registering for the newsletter, the user’s IP address as well as the date and time of registration are saved. This is to prevent misuse of the services or the data subject’s email address. The data will not be passed on to third parties. An exception exists if there is a legal obligation to pass it on. The data is used exclusively for sending the newsletter. The subscription to the newsletter can be canceled by the data subject at any time. Likewise, consent to the storage of personal data can be revoked at any time. For this purpose, there is a corresponding link in every newsletter. The legal basis for the processing of data after the user has registered for the newsletter, provided the user has given his consent, is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) GDPR. The legal basis for sending the newsletter as a result of the sale of goods or services is Section 7 Paragraph 3 UWG.

Using Brevo

We use Brevo to send newsletters. The responsible body within the meaning of data protection law is Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany. With Brevo, among other things, Organizes and analyzes the sending of newsletters. The data you enter for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored on Brevo’s servers in the EU. If you do not want analysis from Brevo, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. For the purpose of analysis, emails sent with Brevo contain a so-called tracking pixel, which connects to Brevo’s servers when the email is opened. In this way it can be determined whether a newsletter message has been opened. We can also use Brevo to determine whether and which links in the newsletter message are clicked. Optionally, links in the email can be set as tracking links with which your clicks can be counted.

Legal basis: The legal basis for data processing is Article 6 Paragraph 1 Letter a) GDPR.

Recipient: The recipient of the data is Sendinblue GmbH.

Duration: The data you have stored with us as part of your consent for the purpose of the newsletter will be stored by us until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted from both our servers and Brevo’s servers after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected.

Option to revoke: You have the option to revoke your consent to data processing at any time with effect for the future. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the revocation.
